Ingredients:
- 1 cup Rava (Semolina)
- 1/2 cup Ghee (Clarified Butter)
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 4-5 strands of Saffron
- 10-12 Cashew nuts, chopped
- 5-6 Almonds, chopped
- 2-3 Cardamom pods, crushed
- A pinch of Food color (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat ghee in a pan on medium heat.
- Add cashew nuts and almonds. Fry until they turn golden brown. Remove and keep them aside.
- In the same pan, add rava and roast it on low heat until it turns light brown and aromatic. Keep stirring continuously to avoid burning.
- In a separate saucepan, boil water. Add saffron strands to it and let it steep for a few minutes.
- Once the rava is roasted, add the boiling saffron water to it. Be careful as it may splutter. Stir well and cook for a few minutes until the rava absorbs the water.
